10 Things

Updated info about the socks two posts down: they're Nancy Bush's pattern Gentleman's Sock for Evening Wear (Rav link) made with Ella Rae Lace Merino in color 18 :) And a big "Thank you!" to my friend Yael for making me the great signature image I've started using. She's a design genius and also kicks butt at Mahjong - I'm so lucky to know her! We've got an art project day planned for the near future, so keep your eyes peeled for the results...

Happy Saturday! At this moment we're right in the middle of the Easter Triduum, and I'm so thrilled that tonight we'll get to welcome the members of this year's RCIA class into full communion with the Church (for those of you who aren't too familiar with Catholicism, RCIA stands for Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, and it's basically a program of catechesis for people who want to convert to Catholicism or for Catholics who want to complete any of their sacraments of initiation - baptism, confirmation, and eucharist). It has been such a rewarding experience helping to teach the class this year, getting to know all of our catechumens and watching them move ahead on their journeys of faith. So number one on my list of things that are making me smile right now is getting to spend tonight celebrating with these lovely ladies.

1. Tonight's celebration
2. Decorating Easter eggs
3. My newly updated "About" page and blog color scheme (it needed some Spring cleaning!)
4. New shampoo that smells nice
5. Painting with watercolors
6. Spring flowers in bloom along my walk home
7. Lazy kitty on the couch
8. Looking over the tops of my reading glasses, pretending to be stern
9. My brother sending me new music
10. Finishing a homework assignment in record time

What's making you smile today?

Thanks, Lauren! I wrote stuff out and she just scanned it in and did some gif magic. Now I have all these neat images to play around with.
