Friday: Link Love

So many great things are going on around the crafty blogging world this week! Here are a few of the posts that caught my eye.

Just for fun
***This mini tutorial shows you a fun way to decorate your nails using newspaper (Amaze Today blog). My nails are currently bare, so I might be sporting this look shortly.

***Ashley Ann of Under the Sycamore is having another fantastic giveaway day - 15 prizes, so scroll down through the posts and enter for each giveaway!

***Tif over at Dottie Angel provides a quick how-to for making chains of paper hearts, suitable for Valentine's day or any day. I'm slowly getting in the mood for an exciting Valentine's day celebration. It just might be the perfect time to throw my little cocktail party and wear my fancy, embroidered apron (provided I embroider it before then...).

If you want to be inspired
***Read a list of 37 things you should never apologize for, and come away feeling a little more confident (Hello, My Name is Blog). I frequently find myself apologizing for several of these things, but the clear explanations for why I ought to stop gave me a new perspective on at least a few.  My favorite was definitely "Never apologize for demanding respect."  Well, gosh, when you put it that way, it seems so obvious! I show respect to others; why not request it for myself?  If you go read the post, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

***Tracey Clark chose her word of the year for 2011 and wrote a thoughtful and thought-provoking post about it.  Do you have a word for 2011? Mine is "joy" and I'll share a bit more about that this weekend.

Happy Friday and happy knitting!
