Blog-iversary and a Contest

It's hard to believe it's already been a whole year since I started this blog (I know everyone says that, but it's really true). Especially in the last few months it has been so wonderful to have feedback and support from so many other knitters, and I'm looking forward to another year of sharing my projects with all of you and seeing what you all are making :)

As a small token of appreciation (but also just because contests are REALLY FUN), I have a skein of KnitPicks Laceweight in some of my favorite colors that will go to one reader/commenter.
(Everyone say "ooh" and "aah")
It's super easy - just tell me about your favorite Halloween candy in a comment by Midnight on Thursday, and on Friday morning I'll draw from among all the names for a lucky winner. Pass the news on or make the pool small by keeping it to yourself, but in any case thanks so much for being a reader!!

Hey Allison - Hapy Blogiversary and thanks for stopping by my blog. Socktoberfest has been a blast. I've done 4 pairs of socks this month. Woo hoo!

My fave halloween candy has to be mini Snickers. But I also have a fondness for Candy Corn.

hehe, yowza, knitters like candy corn! I thought I'd be the weirdo ;) I'll eat it compulsively, then get completely sick of it, then a few days later chow down on it again. mmmm

I am such a sucker for anything holiday-themed that I am always guilty of buying candy corns--then getting them home and realizing that I don't like them. Really, sugar should be saved for the chocolate. Any halloween chocolate is good. And this year Lindt has truffles out wrapped in halloween wrappers--kitch and taste all in one!

Happy Blogiversary, Allison!! I'm so glad that I got the chance to "meet" you, virtually, at least! :-) Ooh, that Knit Picks laceweight is BEAUTIFUL!! I've been eyeing that one for a while. ;-) What a fun contest! Let's see, my favorite Halloween candy would have to be Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. Not the sticks, not the bits, but the full blown cups. The mini cups are okay, but then I need to eat 3 to get my fix.

Hi Allison - the laceweight is gorgeous. My favourite candy is chocolate!! And I love the Halloween packages of little mini-bars.

Well lets see...I love all the candy. But if I had to pick one...I would have to say Milky Ways!

I like candy corn, or those little pumpkins they make out of the stuff that tastes just like candy corn. It isn't my favorite candy over all, but since it's halloween specific, I would have to say it's my favorite Halloween candy!

Gorgeous yarn! And congrats on making it a year! I was really excited when I hit that milestone.

Best, Laura

Happy Blogiversary!!!

Well...

only ONE candy?
I love the mini Mounds and the mini Milky Way Darks.

Some might say that Dove Dark Promises are Halloween candy, but I say they're staples at my desk. I'm now corrupting the folks at work too...

As for Halloween fare that you can't dish out... I was recently introduced to the unlikely buy far too yummy combination of candy corn and peanuts. Who knew? it's so much better than candy corn alone!

Well the answer has to be Candy Corn too. I am glad you can only find it this time of the year.

how do you choose?

All time: mini Snickers (toss them into the freezer before consumption.. it helps slow you down to at least 10 per day... ha ha ha)

Happy Blog-iversary Allison. My favorite halloween treat are the kitkats or anything chocolate. Plus don't forget the Caramels.

Love the yarn.
