Remember how I mentioned that my hair salon is within two blocks of a yarn store? Yeah, I arrived at the subway stop well ahead of my appointment, so I pretty much had to run in and check out some yarn. This is Misti Alpaca fingering weight in the colorway Northern Lights. I am thinking I might make a cabled hat to match some of my teal, blue, and green winter scarves. If that doesn't pan out, this yarn will make a lovely pair of socks!
There's also been a good amount of time for making progress on my Castle Pullover. I'm most of the way through the stockinette portion with the raglan increases, and I'm looking forward to starting the lace portion of the body.
This sunny Saturday is all about relaxing, knitting, and reading. I also have an invitation to a party that is going to feature homemade donuts - yum! It was so wonderful to sleep in this morning, and now that the quarter is over, I'm really looking forward to getting some more rest and sharing more crafty projects with you. Be back soon!
