What is this? The inside of my latest socks!
Oh, here is the outside:
Yarn: Wool from the Belfast Mini Mills yarn shop on P.E.I., in red and brown
Needles: US 1 dpns, of course!
Pattern: Improvised 64-stitch stockinette with ribbed cuff and 2-row stripes; stockinette heel flap and contrast cuff, toe, and heel turn.
Size: US Women's 10, for my big old feet
My Rav project page is here
Verdict: I was skeptical at first, because this particular shade of red is a bit of a stretch for me - it's so bright and fiery, and so close to orange (I have a personal vendetta against orange. I cannot explain it, but there it is). In the end, it works pretty well paired with the neutral brown, and the pop of color is just perfect for a small item like socks. Once again, Project Spectrum took me out of my comfort zone and showed me that I can enjoy colors I would normally avoid.
