Friday: Link Love

Happy Friday! I am really looking forward to this weekend. I'm borrowing a friend's car, and N. and I will be heading down to Indiana for some fall wardrobe shopping. Hopefully we'll also be able to pick up some fall decorations and pieces for our Halloween costumes.
For now, how about a few links?

***Jared Flood of Brooklyn Tweed has started his own line of yarn, Shelter, a 100% American produced and manufactured wool in great tweed colors. I really can't wait to try this yarn, and I'll probably be placing an order as soon as I can decide which color I like the best.

***It's officially Socktober again! Read about the details of this low-key, month long sock party on Lolly's blog, follow everyone's knitting progress on the Ravelry group's discussion board, and tell me in the comments about the pair you're planning on knitting! I'm going to be finishing my second Primavera sock, and I'll definitely be making Kirsten Kapur's Mystery Socks.

***Martha tells you how to make and use a skull stamp carved from a potato.
***I want to learn how to wrap presents that look this awesome.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend - I'll be back to show you knits in progress soon :)

That new BT yarn looks delish! I completely forgot about Socktober...hmmm, I might have to rethink the next project and get another pair of socks on the needles.

I wish I could wrap a package that looked 0.01% as nice as those...I'm definitely wrap-challenged!

Your weekend plans sound fun! Happy shopping! Safe travels!!
