I named these socks "Birdwalk" because the lines of eyelets branching out remind me of the wandering bird tracks you sometimes see on a sandy beach. The name is also appropriate because my mom calls it a birdwalk when someone goes off on a tangent in the middle of a conversation; these socks were a nice, distracting birdwalk for me in the midst of the busy quarter.

The lace repeat is very simple, but it's still interesting enough to keep your attention. I was pleased with how it worked with this variegated yarn, but it would also look nice in a solid or semi-solid colorway. The pdf file contains a chart and a written-out version.

If you don't use Ravelry and would like me to e-mail you a copy of the pdf, just leave a note in the comments with your contact info, or send me an e-mail at allisonlgrayATgmailDOTcom.
If you are a Ravelry use, the pattern is available as a free download over there ... I'm really excited to be able to offer it!
Let me know if you make a pair - I'd love to see your work!
Happy knitting :)
