I have a knitting friend in town this weekend, which means we may or may not do a lot of knitting :) Neither of us actually managed to finish the mittens we're making for each other, so we at least have to set aside time for that, but otherwise we're planning to play downtown, visit an art museum, watch movies, eat good food, and just hang out.
Jess is one of my college roommates, and we learned to knit at about the same time, during freshman year. Knitting really became a staple in our house as the years went by, and we've stuck with it even though we live apart. For both of us, I think, that quiet knitting time brings back great memories of all us girls sitting around together knitting and avoiding homework.
