SNOW

I went outside this morning, and suddenly it was actually winter!

I sent my brother in California (which is apparently just balmy right now) a picture of a snow covered play structure. His response was EW, but I think it's pretty. Thank goodness I'm on a kick of finishing up all my current projects, so there will be plenty of new, warm knitted accessories to wear in all this fluffy snow.

Stuff and Junk

Well, finals week happened! Phew, I'm glad that's over and that I can finally settle into Spring Break. This year, N is coming to visit (she gets into town tonight!), plus I've got some babysitting jobs lined up and plenty of plans for cooking, drinking fancy lemon and lime ice water, reading in the park, and knitting socks outside in our gorgeous 75 degree weather. I will be sure to take a million pictures to share.

New(ish) bedspread - can you tell my bedroom curtains are hot pink? I am planning to replace them with white ones soon

Goodbye, 2011!

2011 has been a wonderful and eventful year! Here are some of my favorite moments...

January - knit myself a sweater with colorful stripes

February - took photos in the aftermath of a giant snowstorm

March - enjoyed an evening of making ridiculous faces with these ladies

April - dyed Easter eggs

May - knit some baby booties

June - visited Milwaukee for the Polish Fest

July - bought flowers at the farmers' market every weekend

August - enjoyed more farmers' market purchases, this time vegetables

September - hung out on the roof of my new home with my temporary roommate

October - dressed up as a creepy, creepy baby for Halloween

November - laughed at some funny roadside signs in California

December - got dressed up and went out for my birthday
