Friday: Link Love

Happy Friday! I'm gearing up for another busy weekday, but I'm so glad it's very nearly the weekend.  That stack of Netflix dvds and the more complicated knitting projects are calling my name right now...
This week's links are inspiring people and projects.  My favorite thing about this blogging community is getting to see what you all are up to, from making to cooking to reading to learning.  It's thrilling to read about the creativity going on each day.

*** My crafty friend Molly of Requies made this fantastic embroidery piece, a family portrait of herself and her husband. Didn't it turn out fabulously?  It's such a great idea to transform a beloved line drawing into a handcrafted portrait.

*** Gala Darling has a post about 10 Really Easy Ways You Can Love Yourself More Today.  If you haven't been feeling the love, or if you just need a summer afternoon pick-me-up, check out her advice.  Paying compliments? Reading poetry? Wonderful!

*** Maryam of Pamplemousse 1983 (possibly the best blog name ever) has been doing a series of Teeny Tutorials on easy art projects.  Her latest watercolor creation is really cool, and I want to make these myself to use as mailing labels on packages or as business tags.

*** Do you know about Meredith's Blogging for Confidence project?  You can go to One Sheepish Girl to read about how her personal challenges have led her to knit in public, wear bright red lipstick, and pull out her camera to snap photos of all kinds of things.  Then you can take on the challenge yourself.

If you're new to the blog or if you've been lurking without leaving comments (we all do it, right?), I hope you'll leave a link to your site in the comments. I'd love to stop by and say hello.
