FO: Watercolor Socks

Ah, the pleasure of a simple, simple stockinette sock! These went incredibly quickly, and the yarn was just the best part of the whole thing.  It has a really beautiful shine and fantastic stitch definition.

The colorway was definitely more striking in the skein, since the near-electric blues were clustered together alongside that striking shade of rose, but I'm really pleased that there wasn't any pooling because of the very short stretches of color.

Yarn: Ella Rae Lace Merino, Colorway #120
Needles: US 1 dpns, set of 5

Gus-approved!!! Notice how his lovely pointed toes are far more graceful than my own :)

Pattern: 64 stitch plain stockinette sock, top-down with a 2x2 ribbed cuff, slip-stitch patterned heel flap and flat toe

Verdict: Quick, satisfying, just the right project for knitting while reading in the library or at work or while talking on the phone or at knit night... well, you get the idea!

I'm really excited for a couple of posts I have coming up this week!  Stay tuned for photos of more knits in progress (using my own handspun, at last), big plans for revamping the shop, plus a giveaway starting on June 1st.  Hope my U.S. readers are enjoying a lovely holiday weekend.

They look great!! and the sheen in the yarn really comes through in the photos, too. You chose a really pretty colourway.
