Today we get to start working on the brilliant Lolly's Project Spectrum, and March is for pink and red.
I thought the first thing I'd do this morning, while I'm hanging out waiting for my laundry to dry so that I have clothes to wear, is pick out some pieces of inspiration to ponder over the next few weeks while I'm knitting and otherwise crafting in shades of pink.
Preliminary thoughts:
I've started this with leftover mitten yarn, and it reminds me of strawberry milk. I also have more of the darker pink left - not sure what to do with that yet.
I'm really liking the combination of red/pink/coral with turquoise and sky blue! I'll have to get the markers out this weekend. (Clothes from anthropologie. Wish I could own them)
These are pretty much my favorite pink characters from a book. If you haven't met Toot and Puddle, run (don't walk!) to a bookstore and see how cute they are! I mean, look at their clothes! Awww.
Oh, and have you met my muse? He sits on my crafty table, but he's especially appropriate for this month, when I want to work on pink circles and rosy cheeked critters and birds.
Are you all ready to start crafting in color? Can't wait to see your projects :)

i've been on a big pink kick lately (though it hasn't permeated my knitting yet!)
I'm so excited about Project Spectrum, too!! Your pink and white yarn reminds me of those lifesaver cream lollipops! Yum! Your pink monkey is the cutest, too. ;-) TAke care, Allison! :-)
Can't wait to see your pink & red projects. This weekend I'll get busy on mine.
Let me know if you read any of the books & what you think of them.
You know what? I almost forgot about Project Spectrum. And I just finished a project that I had meant for Project Spectrum. But there's always more...
