Vacation, still some papers, and BIRTHDAY!
Happy birthday to me,
I ate a cupcake for breakfast,*
Happy birthday to me!
:)
I still have one paper hanging around on my computer that I will turn in by tomorrow, but first I think I'll go have some birthday fun and hang out with my family. It's so nice being home!!! And at least one of the papers is all finished and turned in (via e-mail). And I'm sneaking in some knitting for last minute Christmas presents and such - nothing stressful. I'll definitely update when this last paper is gone!!! Until then, I hope you all enjoy some cupcakes on my behalf!
*This cupcake (and a bunch of other ones) was made by my very sweet boyfriend, who came out to my sister's dorm room, where I'm staying, yesterday to deliver it. He's still in the middle of finals week, but he made me cupcakes! Awww :)

A little snow, A little (ha) homework

I was in the library for two hours just now, watching the snow POUR DOWN out of the sky. We must have gotten a good 4 or 5 inches while I was in there. Of course I had to take pictures when I got home.
The papers are still going strong! I think I may actually only have one ready for tomorrow's class, but that all depends on how tired I am tonight and how inclined to give up and go with the actual Dec. 16th due date. It would cut into my vacation for the first weekend (really, just revisions, how bad can it be?), but I might be willing to make that sacrifice so that I'm not feeling super rushed tonight and I can do a better job. I think I can e-mail it to the professor, or I can have one of my friends who will still be here next week print it out and take it to her inbox.
By the way, I just got back my grade for that presentation on The Acts of Thecla from my Dec. 2 Ancient Christianity Colloquium, and it's an A! The prof. gave me lots of fantastic feedback, including a few interesting questions I want to talk to her about some more in terms of my future research (ooh, I'm gaining a sense of direction!), so I'm super excited about taking her New Testament class next quarter. I'm also registered for a course on Theology and Spirituality in the Middle Ages, so hooray for studying more saints' lives. I'm sure you're all just loving this jabber about school. I would switch gears now and show you the knitting, except that'll be a project for next week when I'm finally home.
Good luck to all the rest of you students, and happy knitting to the rest!!!

Friday at last
In knitting news, uhhh, I haven't done anything. But! There was a knit-sighting today on campus. I walked past a girl wearing a lovely turquoise Wavy scarf!!!
I didn't ask her if she had made it or if someone had made it for her, because I feel that it might be a bit disconcerting to be randomly approached and questioned intensely about your scarf if you are not a knitter yourself. None of you would mind if some random chick came up and started asking if you go to knitty.com, though, right? :)
Oh, and

You are 100% wool hand-dyed MERINO.
You like all things natural and would prefer to do
it yourself. You are socially conscious and
aware of your surroundings. You are kind to all
living things.
What kind of yarn are you really??

Happy Friday!
